Fighting energy poverty and improving the health of the people around us
FIGHT AGAINST ENERGY POVERTY
We promote programs to reduce energy poverty and assess the impact that housing renovations has on the health, well-being and energy costs of households.
We lead public awareness programs to spread environmental values and foster a culture of sustainability through energy saving.
CITIZEN AWARENESS INITIATIVES
Citizen empowerment actions
Energy Week
We share Energy Week with citizens and by means of actions we explain how it works and how it manifests itself. With the help of an information point and advice to citizens, with activities that showed the function of renewable energy and a conference on how to quickly optimize the energy consumption of the house, we celebrated Energy Week in the region de la Garrotxa.
World Environment Day
We share World Environment Day with the citizens of Olot. By means of an information point in the center of Olot we informed the citizens of the benefits of energy rehabilitation, we advised them on how to optimize their energy bill, we visited a building with photovoltaic facade that has been completely renovated to obtain a certificate A in energy efficiency and there was a drawing for 10 Certificates of Energy Efficiency and a gift voucher of € 500 in renewable energy.
We contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
REVERTER Project - funded by the European Union's LIFE program.
The aim of the project is to define 9 customized roadmaps and implement them through One-Stop Shop offices to boost energy renovation of homes for vulnerable households.
The project proposes the creation of 4 pilots in the cities of Riga (Latvia), Athens (Greece), Coimbra (Portugal), and Brezovo (Bulgaria).
In Catalonia, 9% of families suffer from energy poverty. For us, participating in this project is an excellent opportunity to leverage these learnings and apply them in our territory.
